Society and Nature: Can They Cohabitate?

Clara Rohatyn's research essay looks at urban ecology by exploring the connection between environmental justice, policy, and city planning. Rohatyn explores why urban ecological practices are so important in the fight against climate change, while highlighting how social and economic inequalities contribute to environmental inequity. She finishes by focusing on the results of New York City's Million Trees Initiative in connection to environmental justice.
